This kit is designed specifically to learn surface mount soldering and is an extremely useful module to boot!
The kit is genuinely fun to build and uses large surface mount components making it quick and easy to put together. If you’ve never tried surface mount before, then this is the kit for you! It even comes with tweezers so you have everything you need.
We do not recommend a surface mount kit for your first DIY adventure, but once you’ve but a few regular kits together we definitely recommend diving in with this one.
The Double Mix is a unity mixer with big bright bicolour LEDs to indicate both positive and negative voltages. It features two 4-to-1 channels, with the second normalised to the first allowing 8-to-1 operation. It is suitable for both CV and audio signals.
The module can also operate as an average mixer for audio by changing jumpers on the back.
