The ADDAC305 Manual Latches is a combination of 8 manual latching switches in a small and elegant module: each button toggles between Gate high or Gate low when pressed, outputting a +5V gate signal. Additionally 4 of the 8 available latches feature inputs and can act as manual latching switches, allowing the incoming signal to pass through to the output when the button is toggled – very useful for controlling patch changes and transitions.

Note: This kit features some SMD components

F.A.Q.

Q: Are the buttons momentary? Will the module send a gate-high signal for as long as the button is held down?

A: No! The ADDAC305 uses latched/toggle switches (check the ADDAC304 if you want momentary switches instead). The module toggles between +5v and 0v depending if the button is down or up.

Q: Will the module output gates when nothing is connected at the inputs?

A: If a jack is plugged in an channel which has an input, then when the button is down the incoming signal will be output instead. If there is no input then the channel behaves like all other channels, toggling between +5v when down and 0v when up.

Specs:

  • Width: 8 HP
  • Depth: 2.5 cm
  • Max current: 10mA
  • CV inputs: ± 10v
  • Gate outputs: 0 +5v
