This is a 3 channel mixer with a transistor makeup gain stage copied from the classic Moog Modular CP3 mixer. In contrast with the clean and hi-fi nature of the Manhattan Analog ‘Mix’ module, the CP3 is primed to add extra colour and tone to your sources.
As the channel gain is gradually increased it eventually starts to hit the hard-clip distortion inherent in the transistor design. If raw oscillators are driven pre-filter this mixer provides very tasty extra harmonics for your filter to bite into, a key component of the classic Moog Modular sound.
