Process 26 is an ARP 2600 based Voltage Processor for Eurorack. This 6HP module features two separate voltage processors.

The upper voltage processor features four inputs which are mixed and inverted at the output. Inputs 2 and 4 have their own attenuator.  Input 2 is normalised to a positive fixed voltage source, which may be attenuated, and appears inverted at the output, useful for applying negative offsets.

The lower voltage processor features two inputs which are mixed and inverted at the output. Input 2 has its own attenuator. Input 2 is normalised to a negative fixed voltage, which may be attenuated, and appears inverted at the output, useful for applying positive offsets.

Process 26 – Build Document

Patch notes for the demo video above:

“I was inspired by reading an article about Joe Zawinul, he used to take the keyboard CV of his ARP 2600 and invert it through the voltage processor. He’d send then send the normal CV to one VCO and the inverted CV to the second VCO. In that spirit, I have taken the output of Little Melody to a multiple, and then directly to the 1V/oct inputs of 2 x XVCO. I have then patched the multiple into Process 26, inverted it and offset it, and patched the output into the CV input of Klang Stadt. In this way, Little Melody is creating it’s own counterpoint.

Voice #1: 2 x XVCO, XVCF, More VCAs, System X Envelope, and using an inverted triangle from Chronograf to open and close the VCA.

Voice #2: Klang Stadt main output, More VCAs, CEMvelope. CEMvelope’s inverted output is being used for wavetable transitions.

Chronograf is the master clock, driving Little Melody as well as the ADSRs. Both voices are processed through their own Stasis Leak for deep, long reverb.”
